Established in 2009, the Syd Riggs Foundation was created in honor of the late Syd Riggs. This inspirational woman was a brilliant teacher, director, mentor, and friend. Her passion for the performing arts inspired those she worked with to excellence, and many to eventually enjoy professional careers in music, dance, and theater.

The Syd Riggs Foundation aims to provide aspiring young artists with professional arts education opportunities in a safe and comfortable environment. We also encourage continued education through college scholarship opportunities and promote and create quality, family-friendly entertainment. Our programs are staffed by volunteer professionals working in the related fields of music, dance, theater, and technical theater. Our staff’s credits include: film & television, Broadway, national & international tours, commercial & print ads, vocal recording, dance companies, cruise ship & theme park entertainment, and theater education.

We strive to maintain a high standard of excellence in both our education and entertainment programs, but this can be costly. Currently the majority of our programs are funded by the proceeds from our annual benefit concert, “Why We Tell The Story.” The rapid growth of our organization is exciting and makes it possible for us to reach many more aspiring artists each year. However, we can’t keep up with the demand without the wonderful arts supporters in our community like you. Please join our efforts in promoting quality performing arts experiences for our youth, the future of the arts.

The Syd Riggs Foundation is non-profit charitable arts organization. Individual and corporate donations and business sponsorships are tax-deductible under our IRS 501(c)(3) status. Benefits to you or your business may include entertainment for company functions, advertising, complimentary tickets and more!
